Privacy policy

This policy covers the RhinoLaserGRBL product pages, license requests, licensing and support. Payment information submitted to Paddle is also covered by Paddle's own privacy notice.
1. Who handles your information
Roger Pinheiro, the independent developer of RhinoLaserGRBL, based in Dongguan, Guangdong, China, is responsible for personal information handled for the product and its support. For privacy questions or requests, contact grbl@osbase.com.br. This policy does not cover unrelated services on the OSBASE domain.
2. Information involved
- Enquiries: name, email address, optional company, country, selected plan, computer count, Rhino version, controller details and messages that you provide through the forms or by email.
- Purchases: order reference, purchased plan, payment status and purchaser details supplied with the order. For Paddle purchases, payment credentials are submitted to Paddle and its payment providers; we do not receive your full card number or security code.
- Licensing: license identifiers, machine identifiers needed to bind a license to a computer, activation details and trial information. Trial and license records may also be stored locally on your computer.
- Support: screenshots, logs and files you choose to send. Please remove unrelated personal or confidential information before sending them.
- Website operation: the hosting service may record technical request data such as IP address, requested page, time, browser and error information for delivery and security.
Rhino geometry, raster artwork and G-code are processed locally for normal plugin operation and are not required to be uploaded for licensing. Files voluntarily sent for support are handled as support material.
3. Purposes and legal grounds
We use information to answer enquiries, fulfill purchases, issue and support licenses, diagnose problems, prevent misuse and maintain necessary transaction records. Where a legal basis is required, this is performance of a contract or steps requested before purchase, compliance with legal obligations, legitimate interests in secure operation and support, or consent where applicable. Optional consent may be withdrawn without affecting earlier lawful processing.
4. Recipients and international processing
Information may be handled by providers supporting hosting, email, payments and technical operations, only as needed for those purposes, and disclosed to authorities when legally required. Paddle processes checkout and payment information under its Privacy Notice. Product support is operated from China; service providers may process information in other countries. Applicable safeguards must be used where required for international transfers.
5. Browser storage and third-party services
The product site may use browser storage for interface preferences and technical operation. The current product page loads fonts from Google Fonts, which results in requests to Google's servers that can disclose your IP address and browser request information. See Google's Privacy Policy. Paddle checkout may use its own cookies or similar technologies under its privacy notice. The standalone policy pages do not load analytics, advertising scripts or external fonts.
6. Retention and security
Information is retained for as long as necessary for its purpose: enquiry handling, ongoing license support, dispute resolution or applicable recordkeeping obligations. Perpetual-license records may be needed while that license remains in use. We take reasonable measures to restrict access and protect records, but no system or email transmission is completely secure. Do not send passwords, full payment-card details or unnecessary identity documents to product support.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing. You may also have the right to complain to a competent data-protection authority. Send requests to the contact above; proportionate identity verification may be necessary. Some records must be retained for legal obligations or legitimate transaction disputes. Deleting information essential to licensing may affect our ability to recover or support a license; we will explain relevant consequences.
8. Children and updates
The product is not directed at children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information without appropriate authorization, contact us. Material changes to this policy will be reflected in its update date and communicated when required.
